Duties: Requiring limited supervision; design, develop and implement digital signal processing functions related to superconductor integrated circuits; perform analog-to-digital conversion and high speed digital signal processing. Develop system models and simulations of digital signal processing functions; perform behavioral, functional post-synthesis and functional post-place & route simulation; analyze and verify obtained simulation results and identify errors inside the logic under test; translate system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications for subsystems and/or equipment; perform all operations necessary to design, develop, and implement FPGA firmware based on system requirements and specifications; implement digital systems in register transfer level; perform all necessary steps from synthesis, mapping, place and route; implement digital signal processing functions, control interfaces and monitoring modules and design embedded hardware, which includes a processor subsystem and Ethernet to create systems-on-chip; debugging of implemented designs; incorporate new features or add support for new types of superconducting analog-to-digital converter chips into existing applications; design, simulation, layout, assembly, programming, testing and verification, custom room-temperature electronics to facilitate testing of superconductor electronics.

Cryogenic Test Engineer (BSEE/BS Physics level)
HYPRES seeks a test engineer to perform experimental verification and validation of superconducting digital circuits.
• Cryogenic testing and analysis of superconducting electronics integrated circuits
• Develop procedures, methods and tools for test and verification
• Bachelor’s in STEM field with 2-5 years of experience

Integrated Circuit Designer (MSEE-level)

Integrated Circuit Designer (Ph.D. or MSEE, 4 years experience+)
The position performs design and layout of superconductor digital and mixed signal circuits. Proficiency with computer-aided design tools, such as CADENCE, is required. Experience with either analog RF circuit design or high-speed digital circuit design is necessary. Familiarity with Rapid Single Flux Quantum logic is desired, but not mandatory. Laboratory experience in evaluation of high-speed circuits is considered a plus.
Integrated Circuit Designer (Ph.D.-level)
HYPRES seeks Ph.D.-level, experienced circuit designers with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Rapid Single Flux Quantum (RSFQ) digital circuits, SQUIDs, analog-to-digital converters, superconductor RF analog circuits. In addition to design and layout of superconductor digital and mixed signal circuits, these positions will be expected to participate in development of new research areas.
Digital Signal Processing, FPGA Engineer
This position works closely with superconductor IC design and test engineers in the laboratory to design and implement digital signal processing functions, with emphasis on FPGA programming. An MSEE is required.
