NF-100 Shield Degausser
The NF-100 shield degausser uses a slowly decaying sine wave to demagnetize mu-metal shields protecting superconducting circuitry. For best results we recommend using a double shield with a coil wrapped around the inner shield as shown. Slowly decreasing the electrical current flowing through the coil in a low-field environment provides a very effective way to reduce residual magnetic fields which can cause flux trapping in superconducting circuits.
